Old Wardour Castle
Wardour Castle is a fantastic venue for your wedding, it is one of my favourite Wiltshire wedding venues. It is a ruined castle, but with a difference, there are lots of rooms to wonder round in, and in the warmer days of summer, will be cool, as there are no windows. The castle sits tucked away deep in the Wiltshire countryside right by a lake, it is fantastic…did I say that already?
They limit the guests to 40 if you want your ceremony to take place inside the ruin, yes thats right you can have your ceremony in the venue, cool yes? I do love wondering around the different rooms, and so will your guests.
There is a pavilion for your ceremony and evening reception which is beautiful and if you have your ceremony here you can have 60 guests. After your ceremony in the pavilion you would then have canapes and drinks in the castle.
This is a quirky thing in the castle grounds, but will make a really unique photo! It is called the groto.
