Wedding Photography Two Photographers?
Do you need two photographers? Quite a few wedding photography businesses are offering as standard two photographers, I can also offer two photographers, but often advise that two photographers are not necessary. If you really want both the bride preparations and the groom preparations then obviously you will require two photographers. But what about after this part of the day is over? Well some ceremony venus have balconies which can be utilised by one photographer, while the other photographer records the proceedings at ground level. So in the end you have two perspectives, one from distance and one close up. Although I have often been able in the vast majority of cases complete both tasks on my own with no need for a second photographer. This just takes experience, and knowing the venue, and creeping around unnoticed by yourselves and your guests.
Second photographers can be useful if your wedding is in excess of 100 guests, one photographer can concentrate on you the couple while the other captures the guests, also the two photographers can have a plan that while one photographer is in doors the other is outside, basically, being where the other photographer is not. The vast majority of weddings are from 40-100 guests during the day, and I would say that a second photographer is most definitely not essential, so why not ask for some money off from those wedding photography businesses that seem to insist on having two, surely this should be your choice?

Wedding Photographers Supplying Full Resolution Images?
Surfing on a wedding photographer website you will often see the term “full resolution”, as you will on mine. Digital cameras have provided a complete revolution to both the photographers and the clients. It is now possible to get your wedding images and print them yourself on your own home computer, which in your own experience should show you the quality of imagery you can obtain for yourself.
Be aware and make sure though when a photographer offers full resolution that the actual image file size is that which comes straight from the camera, and has not been degraded to a lower dpi or resolution. Now if your wedding photographer is supplying you with 1 CD or DVD then they can only supply you with a very limited number of images. A CD/DVD can only hold 700MB of data, and the professional cameras now produce image file sizes of 10MB (jpg files) so doing the maths this is 70 images per CD.
So this begs the question, did the photographer only take 70 good photos at your wedding? I hope not, I hope it was 2-4 times this number. If so then you will be needing more than one CD/DVD.
I have had commissions for other wedding photographers actual weddings, and I have provided them with the actual RAW files which are far larger and hold much more information.
